USA - The West April 2012 Yellowstone National Park Part 3

Day 6 - continued

The Wildlife of Yellowstone....

As we drove through the park, we were lucky enough to see herds of Bison, Elks, Moose and Mule Deer roaming and grazing the fields....

Herd of Bison

One huge Bison

This one can weigh up to 2000 lb!

A mule deer...

Finally, a Moose.....

Herd of Bison crossing the road....

New forest emerges out....

Yellowstone National Park is the only place in the USA where you can find free-roaming herds of Bison around! We also noticed that some part of the park which were affected by the 1988 fire has started to revive itself naturally...... Thousand of acres of young forest has started to emerge out from the ashes and bare mountains....
